Xin is a postdoctoral fellow in the group, working in collaboration with Bnai Zion Medical Center on photonic micro-patterned silicon chips for near-patient clinical diagnosis of microbial infections. Her work focuses on the rational design of silicon-based optical platforms and their application in rapid microbial diagnostics.
Xin received her B.Sc. cum laude in Biotechnology and Food Engineering from the Technion in 2020 and recently completed her direct Ph.D. in the lab. During her graduate studies, she was recognized with several competitive honors, including the Jacobs Fellowship, the RBNI Scholarship for Excellence in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, and selection for the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad.
